I was never really into Nintendo but I just assumed that all those greatest-of-all-time Nintendo contenders were true, I just hadn't experienced them.
Buying a Switch was some awoken from the matrix shit. Breath of the Wild was getting touted as one of the best games of all time and it was one of the most boring, hollow experiences I have ever had the displeasure of playing. Mario Odyssey was a great game but greatest of all time? I'm not so certain
I'm now absolutely sure that every single Nintendo game considered among the best of all time is nostalgia and the Nintendo bonus.

Back during Galaxy's release people were calling it a perfect game/best of all time and giving it 10/10s left and right. That was my Matrix moment. I still don't understand what people loved about it (besides Rosalina). Pretty good game but not a 10/10 best game of all time imo.

top 10 maker of top 100 lists here. i put botw at the top of my list because it fosters engagement. i know its not the number one game, but im here to make lists, not to make sense. if i wanted it to make sense i would put totk at the top, its botw but better in every way.
