except it fucking fails at that because the game is PISS easy and just RAINS ammo and health onto you, which you don't even need because despite controlling like shit James is a terminator who completely, and LITERALLY, stomps on every monster who crosses his path.
Monsters in SH2 are not terrifying and tense obstacles for your frail protagonist, they're tedious speedbumps that stop being threatening two hours into the game but continue to show up constantly until the credits roll

Silent hill 2 is a worthless game with absolute shit combat, barely developed or present characters and good presentation. Literally all of its horror peers did something better than it. But nobody did what its doing in survival horror so it stood out undeservedly.
System shock 2, Shadow Tower, Saya and Sayoshi are all on my top 10 games. Silent hill 2 will never be, its a cop out for those with inexperience in the genre which I clearly dont have

It's ok for sh2 to be a movie game. It's ok for an adventure story game made by a small team in 2001 to exist. sh2 did not suffocate other projects at konami. sh2 was not seen as the default expectation for a peak AAA videogame. sh2 did not waste 10s of millions of dollars on blockboster canned interactive sequences.

The reality is that Team Silent is overrated as fuck. They only made one good game, which was Silent Hill. SH2 and SH4 are only SH games in the name because they have nothing to do with SH and could've been their own thing, the least scary horror games ever made. SH3 is pure slop and the only people who like it are gooners.

All you do in the second part of the game is pointless because Harry didn't tell Heather that she had the answer to everything with her the whole fucking time.
