There will be a weekly/bi weekly end game mode that will offer half a spin worth of gems if you have the most up to date meta team to clear the final floor, if you can live without that you're fine.

Kamoshida got away with doinking Shiho because the school needed him, he got results and the school needed the success on their reputation. People turned a blind eye to his abuse and that's the reason he was left to his own devices.

Japanese were competent while all HW was custom-made and the makers Japanese corporates they could call for instructions/manual/guidance.
Hence why PS2 and early PS3 JP games look and run like marvels compared to the Western stuff.

However, once the name of the game shifted to generic PC components as HW research became too expensive, and games shifted to third party engines as graphics tech became too complex to be made in-house, Japanese fell off to making PS2/3-looking garbage that runs like absolute shit even on good HW.
They can't speak English to engage with the international SW world and there is no in-house alternative to ask so they have to figure everything out by themselves.

I don't know if I like them a lot more since it's still really early in the story but they're generally much more grounded than the P5 cast so far. Maybe to be more generally appealing since it's a gacha game if you want to look at it that way.
