It's much better than the joy cons and if you're going to play a fair amount it's absolutely worth it. Switch 1 pro controllers work too, probably can find a cheap one second hand. Only downside is you can't turn the console on using the pro1

From a business standpoint the Japanese market is the most important single market for a lot of smaller Japanese developers so in order to secure long term support and market dominance this is a no brainer, it just makes me wonder if the western Switch 2's are overpriced or if Nintendo are losing money on each Japanese Switch 2, also Japs pay a lot more for a lot of games.

The Japanese folks pay this model with their yen equivalent of 500 euros or american dollars. Just because the exchange rate are favoring both the EUR and USD doesn't mean the item is actually cheaper for the natives.
