That seems like the least opportune time to fix it because then they're competing for players' time. The best time to update it would be before the new one comes out as a means of getting the original back into people's minds so they'll notice the new one, and the second best time is later so people will simply go for the new one. Notice how MK8D didn't actually get a Switch 2 update? It's so they don't remind people to go back and play it instead of World.

yeah, but it didn't say "leading into..", because it turned into a different timeline.
this trailer tells you that it shows you what happened back then that, as the text suggests, leads into TotK.
i mean, i don't know, we will see when it releases.

Look, stop trying to overthink this
There is no earthly way you are getting a Hyrule Warriors game without Link. And since Link was never in the Age of Imprisonment, expect similar time travel shenanigans as AoC.
>>713973856 > you really shuldn't be taking story seriously in musou games, anon
Except they lied to our faces in the trailers by suggesting that they are focusing on the story, turns out they can do fuck all

Yes, much better than the fanfic.net story in video game form that was the first game and the BotW art style is miles better than generic musou animu shit.

To be honest what would you even want out of a Hyrule Warriors 2?
The original game already covers the entire history of the Zelda series pretty much, the only thing a sequel could possibly add is BotW shit - which is what they did >>713969084

Honestly? Yeah I liked it about twice as much as the first one. >Cohesive art style instead of trying to force toon link and midna in at the same time >Better movesets with unique mechanics per character, each character in HW2 has 2x the moves of characters in HW1 >Sheikah runes are 10x better than slowly thumbing through the items in HW1, actually unique per character and very creative >HW1 had like 10 maps you played over and over and over again, HW2 used the ported map of BotW so every map was extremely unique >HW1 missions were repetitive filler, "defeat the giant bosses in time, watch out all attacks are devastating, quizzes, etc" while in HW2 they are far far more varied >Giant bosses were boring and were removed, each character was given at least 1 attack that can force the WP gauge open so you are always given a reason to attack instead of just wait for an opening >Enemies have much wider and more dangerous skillsets. HW1 enemies barely ever attacked and each had 2-3 moves while HW2 enemies are extremely aggressive and have 4-5 moves for the simple ones and over more for complex enemies like Lynels and guardians.
The only things the first one did better was pulling characters from across all Zelda games instead of just 1 game, and in having better map control elements like capturing keeps spawning soldiers and using allied captains to hold back attack waves and such. The second game was 90% better, but if you are a fag who doesn't play for gameplay and only wants to clap for references then the first will be better for you.
Looking forward to what they do for age of imprisonment.
