Vidya has always been the best way of playing TCGs, IMO. Games like Tag Force allow you to experience the game without spending additional money beyond the initial purchase, if there was a purchase at all and you're not just emulating or pirating

Pendulum cards are monster cards that are also spell cards you can place in the pendulum zones, which are the left and rightmost spell zones. Their pendulum text is only active when they are in those zones, and is functionally a continuous spell card. Once per turn, you can pendulum summon monsters whose levels are between the scales from your hand, and from your face up extra deck (where pendulum monsters go if they are destroyed on the field) to link zones. (if that sounds weird its because konami blatantly nerfed the mechanic when vrains came out)

Place level 4 monster on level 4 monster, overlay into xyz rank 4 monster. Xyz materials don't count as being on the field and don't trigger 'removed from the field/destroyed/etc' effects when you overlay. Typically xyz monsters detach materials to activate effects as fuel and are 'X level monster + another X level monster' but some have other weird requirements.

I gave up when everyone and their mother started running 20 handtraps and would always cheat a Droll and Lock Bird or Mulcharmy. Lingering handtraps, Infinite Impermancence, and all the fucking Dominus cards should be ban then we can start addressing meta deck bans. It can be tough, yeah. But it's a lot more fun. When your opponents are chill at least. I like talking to people before and in-between rounds. I think it's a little overblown how often you run into shit opponents, but man when you get the bad ones they can be really bad. They often don't become regulars though thankfully. For me, lingering stuff like the half damage from Prosp can be hard to remember because you resolve it, spend the next couple mins combing or interacting with your opponent's board, then by the time you're in BP it's so easy to forget. People clown on that one YCS where the guy got lethal through DRNM, but I can absolutely see it being a legit mistake in the same vein. (Not an excuse for the judges not catching though, they suck ass). Shuffling isn't a problem. You not only get fast at it, but at a local level most people don't shuffle after every search, we'll just leave the deck alone until the next draw, and then shuffle/cut. Saves a lot of time.

For sure. I know I still try to attack directly after using S:P early into a turn. But on the other hand, people really shouldn't be rewarded for forgetting about these things, and it being so easy to forget helps provide cover to the players that want to cheat on purpose.
The game's absurd complexity can be both its biggest draw and its biggest downside.

Played BE Primite for the first time, and it was against a Vanquish Soul playe rabout to derank.

I am having trouble figuring out whats better now that astro is at 3.
Pure zarc decks have the advantage of being able to shove relatively many handtraps and can still cope into zarc+sk clear wing under roach/fuwa.
Pend mag focused decks on the other hand can go full gas and hope to play through turn2,plus they have the options for more generic slop compared to zarc
