Think I'm done with single player/story games. Feel like you get barely any gameplay or anything innovative that wasn't done over 10 years ago. With tacked on mechanics and stuff designed to just waste your time. Recently got this in a sale and honestly haven't experienced anything new after the first hour. Pacing is too slow for a game, combat is meh, level system could disappear and there would be zero difference, have to loot countless numbers of shit instead of it just being auto pickup. Feel shit because I want to see all the different story beats that they put in the game even if they are low brow dogshit but I cba to play through non existent gameplay. If this was a movie I'd prefer it, however I feel this way about most SP games I play.
Don't really know where to look/go for denser games with less story and handholding.

>>713991242People say this but what good indie and AA stuff is out? Genuinely, most stuff looks uninteresting. And there doesn't seem to be anything good in the zombie genre at all.
That's why I'm only playing gacha games now. HI3 clones and Genshin clones are unironically the only new subgenres in the past decade and they can still make new shit in those subgenres. The rest is just decade old garbage recycled
>inb4gacha bad
You're the reason why we don't get anything new, you oppose anything that's not a clone of a decade old game
>>713991330>inb4 a list of fake retro games and roguelike deck buildersAt this point only kids find indie games impressive, because they never played the retro games that indies are cloning
>>713991494Yup that's what nearly always comes after these questions. Like I cba with deck builders, or 90% of roguelikes, 90% of metroidvanias are dog despite me loving the genre, and there's no good action games out nowadays. The only place you can go to get mechanical difficulty are ancient games or online multiplayer which I'm trying to cut down on due to the addictive nature of it.
