They died out before most people actually interested got to the stupid rewrites.

raidou 1 was unironically the worst game I've ever finished to completion. I got swindled because I liked DDS so much

They removed nearly all the references to SMT1/2 and replaced them with allusions to other games or real world events and changed the main antagonist's backstory, reason for fighting Raidou, and fate.

Nope, enjoy reading about COVID instead of getting a really cool SMT1 reference.
The future described by the future Raidou now no longer sounds anything like SMT2 and the future Raidou is a teenage girl instead of it being ambiguous.
All mention of the Center and Tokyo Millennium are gone in the main game but the free DLC explains the connection in detail anyway. Don't know why they did it that way but it's dumb.
Also future Raidou survives now and is just sent back to their shitty timeline instead of becoming a drifting lost soul.

Hilariously 2's combat manages to be way better overall because the remake leaves demon control identical to how it was in the original.

I have like 5 RPG's on the Switch I sat on until I got a Switch 2 so those take priority over the game that will be 50% off at Christmas.

Yeah, it fine. It'll help ease into the press-turn combat. The Bonus fight with the nocturne mc feels cooler if you have some knowledge of nocturne but it's still pretty cool fight.

Considering it's already fully 3D and, most importantly, that it was a huge fucking flop originally, Nocturne-tier re-release is all it's getting. Maybe not even fully voiced.
The real question is why they're ignoring IV? Why won't they re-release it?

Most threads here are about Nocturne and Strange Journey. IV and Apocalypse are very divisive but they are more popular than DDS duology and Raidou.
The action combat filtered me. I will try again with this remaster, they updated the gameplay after all.
