Can we talk about how otherwordly ugly this dashboard looks? The 360 was never a winner for aesthetics, especially compared to the OG xbox, but at least it never ruined the icons scale

that was around the time microsoft was going all in on windows 8 metro design. it was bad times in general for them.

desu i think that while still being crap, it's better than the previous one (or current one for whoever dosen't live in the usa), at least this one dosen't stretch the game icon and it dosen't look empty

my console doesnt even connect to XBL anymore and it loads at extremely slow speeds, i think its on its last legs at this point...
(its a 2010 slim console with kinect, bought it in 2011)

i used to think my problem was dust acumulation
but after cleaning it it still acts the same, part of me thinks it's a faulty hard drive issue or a wi fi issue, i read that old consoles like the 360 has connectivity issues with newer wifi modems and whatnot, but i legit have no idea other than that

Honestly? I don't have a clue. It just sat in my room for years unused, and now it still works fine.

It was a little dusty, but I didn't even clean it lol, i'm playing dark souls on it atm. I guess i just got lucky

It looks awful now, the least they could do is let you pick what dashboard you want. Also does it still have problems connecting to XBL? I can only get it to work momentarily. I have a few games that aren't BC.

i'm even having problems redownloading my profile
whenever it asks me, it just slows down with my profile for some reason, whereas if i log in without a hard drive or with an offline profile, it's almost nonexistent, no clue why

From my experience, all 360s run the dashboard slow when connected to the internet. It was like that since the xbox one came out and only got worse over time. A hard drive replacement is definitely recommended if the console's had a lot of use though, since those HDDs run pretty hot.

all dashboards are cringe

What do you think the chances are that even a single (single) person buys an xbone because of an ad they saw on their 360 dashboard in 20fucking25?

i liked how the 360 dashboard looked when it first came out, i always missed it after they updated it

It's amazing how the first Xbox completely mogs all the MS consoles that came after.
It's almost like it was made by a different company...
