I honestly have a grudging respect for the lengths that /vp/ fags hungry for (you)s have gone over the years to elevate a specific game/gen over others. Prime engagement bait material over there and the same fags never seem to get tired of it.

What happened was, Gamefreak seriously underestimated how difficult the jump to 3D was. Gen 6 ended up ludicrously behind schedule, wound up having almost half the game cut for time/playability reasons, and tons of concessions made to get it out the door.
The expectation was that this would be excused as a weak generation because of the technical difficulties associated with the 3d development, and they could use the experience to do better next time.
Then gen 6 broke records, and they resolved to never actually put effort into the series again, because why bother.

white 2 is the best pokemon experience i've ever had and i started with blue when the commercials with the bus driver were around
