Maybe, though we all know that even if the next Jedi Star Wars game show Cal being headshoted by a blaster, and dismembered, Disney will still try to use him somehow. Probably the best choice is to show him when he's 80 or 90 yrs old on the final cutscene of the game, so maybe it will be slightly harder to fuck him up after the Jedi trilogy.

I just hope the next game won't have shit optimization, Jedi Survivor is a great improvement in almost everything Fallen Order does.

because Cal only gets to do this when he taps fully into teh dark side, the third game will have a "resist" mechanic where your ending will be predicated on whether you gave in to the dark side a lot or you abstained

The point is that protecting those you love can lead to the dark side if you agonize over it too much or don't address it in a healthy way. If you're pushed too far protecting them or if you fail to protect them, you'll end up like Bode or Anakin. Cal will 100% fall to the dark side if Merrin or BD1 or Greez are killed.
