I enjoy RDR1 more than 2, but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece. The missions are too repetitive and so many are entirely pointless.

Rockstar are hard carried by their PS2 legacy and getting to have years of dev time and freedom to make TECHNOLOGY and details.

Why do I like RDR (and Bully) but not GTA at all? R* just feels like they completely suck at mission design and shooting gameplay, but those two games win me over with their worlds that actually feel alive and interesting settings + actual consequences for your actions. Any GTA feels so dull and boring to me in comparison.
