It does not look like it, but this game is a revolution in deck building games, or card games in general.
You don't need to shuffle deck, all your cubes is on your hands. Instead of abstracted game field you have some kind of physical simulation running. Imagine most insane card game synergy and multiply it ten-, hungredfold. More complexity, but more clarity at the same time.
And dev is based, he doesn't nerf shit, he throws even more powerful curses at you to keep it in a state of relative balance. CHAOS is in the name.
So it's constant struggle, you think that certain tactic will carry you to the end, but it will be probably countered at the next encounter, and you will be forced to adapt.
Sometimes you win under a minute by placing one laser at the right spot, and sometimes you have to gnaw growing basalt towers for in-game hours (fast-forward is here). You can put steam generator merely to increase mana generation, and suddenly the game transforms to "how to survive at the bottom of ocean". You can combine machineguns with machineguns, you can make multi-tile robots, or just bunk enemy to death, and it's not like you could make it on a whim, you'll probably be forced to do all of this tactics.
It's THE BEST wizard simulator. Noita is great, sure, but Noita's magic is usually just shooting. Here effects are much more diverse.

"Decent classes" is pretty subjective, but all the basic bitch classes that are in every medieval fantasy RPG have 2 to 4 key skills that I found pretty interesting. From what I read, the "ultimate" classes with the coolest sounding names are kinda underwhelmed, so I ended up skipping them on my playthrough.
One interesting point is the point resource that you can use to negate RNG, guaranteeing hit or evade or even an extra turn. It can also be used on story choices to prevent negative outcomes, and to guarantee positive outcomes too IIRC.

Casual anime Darkest Dungeon. Apparently the 3 paid DLC classes were released alongside the game, rather than later, so some people hate the game over that, but otherwise it's a pretty solid game. Personally I only found the Amazon useful, the Necroknight is focused on retaliation damage, which is more suited for meme parties/runs and the Invoker is focused on charging mechanics, meaning you waste the 1st turn and also every other turn to charge resources to cast spells, which is garbage for regular enemies and not strong enough on boss fights.

A tactics game with a pretty unique RTWP combat system centered around time manipulation. Maybe a bit too easy because if you want you can just rewind time and do everything perfectly, but other than that it's pretty fun. Once you get the timing down on things like blocking and dodging (it's not super intuitive at first and if you're like me you'll often block too early, since the block duration is really short) it becomes a lot of fun. The story and characters are bland af though so don't go into it expecting a great narrative.

I don't remember where I found out about this game, maybe in an older hidden gem thread. Regardless this was originally a FE Sacred Stones romhack that went nowhere (Fire Emblem Midnight Sun) because one day the dev decided to make it a real game
Don't go in expecting it to be a FE clone however, it's a mixture of many genres: battles are like Etrian Odyssey, exploration parts are point and click, and dungeons/chapters work on a weird time management system where player and enemy turn alternate every "15 minutes" in game (each action or battle cost time, and you usually have to do something or reach somewhere before a specific in game hour arrives)
The game is still "looks" like a FE game however, one look at a character and you can instantly figure out his or her class, same for the story beats

As the one that posted about it it may be weird for me to say it but I wouldn't play this game just for the gameplay because it's really not that deep (and it gets very easy as your party becomes more and more powerful), and you don't even get that many playable characters (the rest are passives or summons) but I did enjoy the whole package in the end

To cut the story short, Dad is an abusive asshole that has a dirty record for domestic abuse. He used to pimp out his own wife. It's implied he used to hit his daughters. One day he began pressuring Amana to sell her body, claiming that her mom used to do it, so she also could. There was a rift in the family from there. Amana eventually grew tired of it all and committed suicide, leaving a voice recording exposing her dad. For some reason, probably due to the violence, Nina went into a coma. Dad left them all by themselves. An old lover of Sophie (Mom) was a renowned neuroscientist developing a machine to help people like Nina by tapping into the subconscious. Because he still had feelings for Sophie, he offered to put Nina in the project free of charge. But then he died. Now the new head, Doctor Miller, is taking full advantage of the situation and backtracking on actual progress that could help Nina just because her mom won't quit paying them. Also, she had to begin whoring herself out again to sustain Nina there. The game itself is basically you playing as people that are participating in this project as test subjects that try to help Nina in her dreams. But the ending makes it very clear that Doctor Miller has no intention of helping Nina get better.

An autistic as hell number optimization game with the weirdest-ass pricing system I've encountered.
The core idea is that you are in a tower and kill monsters to gain resources, it starts out simple enough with just Attack, Defense, HP, and keys for doors. Later on, it can get a LOT more complicated with abilities and items and such, but it is at its core just a resource management game about trying to get the highest Score, which is measured according to your stats.
Originally, the game had a demo consisting of I believe 3 levels and the full main game cost $20.
Sometime last year, they retired the demo and made the base game the "demo" by just making it free. Anyone who owned the base game got Chapter 8 for free as a thank you.
Their English is pretty rough, but if i read it right back then, Chapters 9 and 10 are also going to be dirt cheap (like $2) because "we made enough money."
