Elden Ring was their last good game. While good, you could see they are losing their soul, and passion.

Shadow of the Erdtree is one of the worst things I've ever played. I can't recall the last game/DLC/whatever that was that miserable to play, and only got worse in between the gameplay when I was thinking about the retarded lore.

Everything has been said about the regression of Fromsoftware's souls games, it's impressive watching them missing the point of what made their series good in the first place over and over again since years now. They tried to crank up the action element of these games thinking it wouldn't change the core of their combat system, added open-world when they had a much more compelling formula with interconnected zones they could have refined.
Everything smells of unsincere super self-conscious garbage now, Elden Ring is shallow and their last extension is the pinnacle of it, on top of being an obvious cashgrab.
