I do. The painting concept allows for unique levels and the globetrotting aspect is a fun throwback to Bloodlines. Charlotte is also a cute. My only complaint is the anime aesthetic and ugly portraits but mods can fix that.

La Mulana is unlike pretty much all metroidvanias in that the difficulty is (mostly) less the platforming and combat, but in the puzzles which range from reasonable to difficult to complete moon logic that you would be either lucky or insane to solve blind. It's fun and the sequel is, in my opinion, fairer in the puzzles and you could totally solve that blind if you're diligent about note taking.
But anyway with LM1 if you're really into old school one million notes taken gameplay then it'll be fun, but if not then it'll be a pain in the arse. There is a hint based guide on steam which gives hints of increasing value on given puzzles which is very useful.
