When I got around to watching SuperS, I was bracing myself for this horrible thing to be endured. Also to add, the Usagi v Chibiusa stuff is not just silly SOL stuff or the latter being an annoying brat, there's an ongoing conflict between the two because of the Silver Crystal. Chibiusa wasn't right either but she does have a reason to antagonize her.
The issue with the little shit is how this continues AFTER R, where Usagi already helped her with the Crystal Tokyo plot and directly dealt with the Black Lady stuff too, basically soothing her own issues. Venus is the leader. The og team is the Princess Serenity and the Four Senshi of the Guardian Deities, her bodyguards. Venus is the leader of the bodyguards. After the og kingdom is wiped out, the princess is reborn but this time she gets to be a Sailor Senshi herself. In present day, Usagi/Sailor Moon is still their monarch and has the final say, but Venus leads the Guardian Deities and Uranus leads the Outer System Senshi (later, Saturn leads the Outer System Senshi).

In OG and R. Ever since S they haven't been able to do much, they even show the planet attack failing.
These two had it worse imo because their skills generally have no interaction outside of just doing damage(although they can still repel some weaker attacks or destroy restraints), and the enemies eventually become strong enough to shrug it off. On the other hand, Minako finds a lot of ways to take advantage of the chain outside of direct damage, while Ami is a support first and foremost.
