He got banned from Chiv2 for advertising cheat as an "April fools" joke by pointing out that the Xbox version of the game doesn't have an anti cheat, and that every time it went on gamepass, you could just create a new account, get it from there for almost no money at all then freely cheat on it as much as you wanted until you got banned with the easiest possible findable cheats there were on the internet for the game. No "premium untrackable deluxe haxxors edition" required.

The game was apparently his life and where all his group of friends (which were online only) congregated so the moment he got banned, rather than just making a new account and keep low or whatever playing on it, he just offed himself because he no longer had anything going on in his life now. The game WAS his life.

He did send a ban appeal, through the studio's Discord group specifically because that's the only way you can send reports and make appeals. The website version for doing those doesn't actually work and it's just there for show. I was told they weren't going to unban him and that his account will remain permanently banned.

It's very likely the devs themselves just used that slipup "joke" moment he had as a reason for a permanent ban since he was getting annoying as fuck for them cause he tried to make himself like some kind of "pillar of the community" and "voice of the players" and would do all manners of tutorials and guides for how to play the game, holding charity tournaments and more or less just somehow trying to possibly get hired by the studio itself to help with further projects or development of the game itself.

Basically, he was just super annoying to the devs so they took the tiniest moment they could use as a reason for perma ban to get rid of it and went with that. Obviously they didn't actually think he'd kill himself, but oh well.

It always bothers me when they say "passed away" about someone who killed themselves, It almost feels like lying because it implies it's just a thing that happened to a person instead of a voluntary act. You wouldn't say "passed away" if someone was murdered or involved in an accident, why would you say it when they take their own life?
If it's something the family want to keep private, I can understand that, but if it's public knowledge and people are just using vague, politically correct language to be obscure and pussyfoot around the truth, it irks me a lot

I am very good at this game and never cheat. It feels very rewarding to be able to quickly react and perfect parry against multiple attackers and win a fight outnumbered.

I got it for free on epic after this guy offed himself. Sucks but what a terrible reason to go.

I miss those times when people killed themselves due to debt, horrible crippling diseases, insurance so they could leave money to their families, as a political statement or as part of a revenge plan against a particular person or the establishment.

This just means that he had much much deeper psychological issues. Nobody reacts to an online ban (which you can circumvent by just immediately making a separate account while your ban appeal is ongoing) by immediately killing themselves unless they're already fucked in the head somehow.
