Either one of the favorite games or utter disappointment. It has lots of flaws and many strengths, where build autism is one of both.

I played the Pathfinder game only because they are made by owlcat who was working on rogue trader back then, I wanted to see if the next Warhammer 40000 rpg was in good hand. Those games made me huge fan of Pathfinder, and owlcat is my favorite studio now.
Expect very deep rpg leveling and better than average companions and writting in general. Install the bubble buff mod if you don't want to go insane. I'd recommand playing kingmaker first tho, both are good games but wotr is way more epic so it would be weird to play the more humble kingmaker after experiencing wotr.

One of the sweatiest experiences ever. You will have to study to be able to build a class because most combinations are dead ends, random encounters will feel endless because you NEED to prebuff every goddamn time. Owlcat is a blight upon the modern game RPG landscape

As i said before, a blight upon us. Thank God there are other devs out there who make rpgs that make the player feel good while also giving them a challenge.

5 hours of watching and reading game and build guys, just to understand what the fuck is going on, then another 20 hours of stumbling around in the game not knowing what the fuck you are doing, until it finally crystalizes and your eyes becomes open to the sea of possibilities. Then spend another 100 hours of restarting and never beating the game.

Anime simulator where you can make any fighter imaginable, kino storyline, worldwound and mendevian crusades are absolute cinema, turning into a type of demigod, which adds to the kino effect.

Probably the best CRPG in a long time.

Bloated game

Very fun character building system. Not my cup of tea personally. But I do play it from time to time. I mostly trigger random fights and just do those. My ideal game would be low magic age arena fights + wotr character building

Lots of trash mobs.
Thankfully, you can steam roll them in RTWP mode.
It'll even feel good to do so half of the time.
