heaters are 100% efficient since efficiency is measured by how much energy is converted into heat. You would think this means there's no way to do better than heaters.

But actually, Air Con is 400% or even 500% efficient. This is because it just moves heat around, and you can move around 4 or 5x as much heat with the same amount of energy used to directly convert into heat. It's an amazing invention that europeans are basically barbarians for not using.

And they work both ways, you can move the heat out of where you are or move the heat into where you are. Either way you get to adjust your environment to be comfortable to you, in a maximally efficient way
