But neither this nor the prequel kept Doom's obvious weapon-tier assignments (example: key that brings up normal shotgun is 3, get super shotgun, it now brings the latter up, press it again to go to a lower tier), and the backtracking was atrocious. Not the right way to beat Quake 1's abysmal repetitiveness. You'll quit Quake 2 before you finish it without a guide.
