I thought Overwatch would look much worse
These are pretty great numbers for a late steam release, considering all the consolefags and Battle.net early adopters

steam is about 7-8% of OW's playerbase. anecdotally as someone who plays it on steam where you can see an icon for other steam users that seems about right
The game has like 6 alive game modes and only has long queues if you're in GM range in comp or full 5-6man stacking. >>714106907
Any old lootboxes you had would have been automatically opened and the cosmetics added to your account

Has someone calculated the approximate number of players on PC using steam data and how many people in lobbies have the steam badge? or the sample needed would be too big if I want the data to be representative?

There's only approximations, most people seem to assume it's in the 5-10% range, anecdotally from my occasional games in quick play it's a little under 10% steam users, usually one or two per game, occasionally more, but there's a lot of different game modes

metoo happened, timesup happened, dei happened and all the talented people left the company, all that was left was the activist hacks and they started shoving their ideology into the game, making all these changes to existing characters for no reason other than to get some games journalist to write an article about it, they also failed to deliver the single player campaign, the whole reason they created a sequel

The animation on these throwaway porn things is genuinely above professional level, I'm guessing people are throwing shittons of cash at it
>>714098848 (OP) >Safety and moderation teams come into existence
Oh cool, so they are gonna ban cheaters... right? >We'll ban you for hurting peoples fee fees >Ban you for playing too good >Ban you for playing too shitty >Ban you for doing taunts >Here is a shitty new character that sucks every few montha >OMG WHY IS NO ONE PLAYING ANYMORE?!
I had fun with the Ban system at first pretending to be a gay tranny with aids and making fun of faggots then getting the team to laugh and report the karen faggot who cried about it.... but after a while shit stopped being fun and they were too desperate to make it an esport.

Despite the general narrative about how Overwatch is "le ded gaem" it is still doing perfectly fine. I can only assume it's numbers are nowhere close to what they were during it's first 2 years or so but still.
