Animaniacs: Hollywood Hypnotics was originally planned to be released on the Game Boy Advance in 2002, and was being developed alongside Hollywood Hijinx (which would later be renamed to The Great Edgar Hunt), however SWING Entertainment became the subject of an insolvency procedure on February 11, 2003. Hollywood Hijinx's publishing would be transferred to Ignition Entertainment to in 2005, however Hollywood Hypnotics did not find a new publisher, and was quietly cancelled.

Yeah, the only good new things that came out of the reboot were Julie and Benedict. Anything outside of the Pinky and the Brain segments felt like a sloggish diet version of the 90s show, and it didn't help that the human designs looked garishly angular.

Some of the schtick was funny. I think Brain going head to head with Edward Snowdin or the Warners getting into a fight with a Schwarzenegger ripoff was classic, but many many of the sketches lost me. I feel like there was an attempt made, but it fell flat. Fuck the bunny sketch and fuck the cuteness sketch. Also, Dot's VA is losing it. Isn't she a Simpsons VA too? Ironic since Marge sounds like garbage too lately.
