They were so disgustingly arrogant off of the PS2 success that they thought blu-ray would be just like DVD but it wasn't because DVDs were cheap and now all physical media is dying anyway and nobody cares about movies on a fucking video game console.
Then they eventually got rid of the one bests things the early CECHA/B editions had, PS2 backwards compatibility.
This is where Sony started to forget that a console is for games first and foremost and not movies or being a cable box/multimedia PC for and why the PS5 is a PC pipeline.
