Well. There isn't one really strong reason, but mostly because they unified all the gear essentially and the juice just ain't worth the squeeze. I actually logged back into this a few days ago after a 3 month hiatus. Honglim Base? Before my game even finished loading a red name had killed me. Then I respawned right on top of my dead body and he killed me a second time? I've never seen that happen before. All I could do was laugh.

I ain't even mad. I'm glad someones out there still fucking people up. All I could do is roll my eyes. "Oh yeah. That happens too." and I logged back out. So what else is there. Mostly the parade of empty promises.

What happened to go back in time and all that? Guess we aren't doing that anymore.
Now it's LOML 2.0 but you need to be a 1000 GS chad-whalington to even explore it. So it's just over.
There's just nothing left. I don't have the interest or care to play catch up anymore. I've never been good, I ain't ever gonna git good either.

There is no cool gear to find in the actual game because it's all locked behind the cash shop and costs like 40$€ for a single set.

Also the gameplay is grinding so you have a 2% chance of upgrading your gear which you can also completely destroy unless you use cash shop items as a failsafe.

2% isn't even that bad. I'd roll 2%'s all day. The problem is the cost. If you're not farming the meta spots you're making hairy dicks for profit and maybe you'll squeeze out a single roll or two a week if you're okay with being eternally bankrupt and disappointed.

I think the idea is 90% of the time you're supposed to dislike the fashion/outfits so you feel no remorse about grinding them into dust regardless if you got it off the market by luck or you bought it yourself with cash, so you can make more 2% rolls.

Was pretty darn tempted to pick it up for the Gunslinger.

the fact you have to grind for weeks to have a chance at enchanting only for it to fail and degrade is fucking dumb.
i don't mind p2w and any other of the shit designs, i don't even mind the grinding.

Investing 200 hours of playing alone to experience a shallow game's bad story? I'm good.

Source: I was rank 1 trader through the entirety of NA launch until I eventually quit because the game was god awful.

The early parts of BDO are pretty fun if you're autistic and like the grinding. Later on, it really just turns into boring loop though. Grind spot -> preorder costumes/buy crons -> fail a 2% roll on a 300 stack and repeat until you hit pity or get lucky. I like BDO, but the endgame loop just fucking sucks.
