for all the faults with the storytelling and political BS the game itself is doing quite well atm. Legion Remix this winter is going to absolutely boom player numbers as well. Housing in Midnight will probably drag a decent portion of the socialite XIV population in as well. I'm usually pretty critical of WoW after BFA/SL but blizzard seems to know what players actually want these days after they cleaned house a couple years back.
