We've already see the extreme anime cringe voice acting has produced in this and BOTW. Nintendo games don't even have basic options to let you turn their terrible VA off either.
Nintendo games should NEVER have voice acting. they should have a few charming soundbytes and noises characters make and that's it.

Of course Nintendo is never going to put that as canon, but it's still neat to think about. The Mario Odyssey lore, if I recall, centered around the idea that New Donk City was the hub world.
