>>714135772Now now, don't be such a bitch. I understand you're simply repeating what "in the know" twitter/redditers are saying, but you're all wrong. Decima is a better foundation for game technology. Unrealis tied up in catering to high end offline graphics rendering as well as realtime, and it is struggling to maintain itself. It's technologically premature for existing hardware performance. It has terrible optimizations to compensate rife with artifacts that consumers dropping north of $1,000 on graphics hardware find revolting.
Decima having a significantly more modest target platform as its base has given developers significantly less concern for overhead, and are dropped into a tool set that grants more freedom for effects, is a fully kitted toolset that doesn't inebriate itself with UE5's flawed rendering pipeline that introduces unpleasant visuals. Gamers in turn respond in kind, finding their performance acceptable, the range of supported specifications appealing, and the visuals to be excellent. Whatever your opinion on Horizon Forbidden West, it's still largely unsurpassed graphically. UE5 games are all over the place performance wise that even with impressive visuals nobody clocks them as the behemoth technical demonstration they really are.
You don't have a counter-argument for this, however. You have already lost.
