The PS1 versions of Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets are basically ultra gimped versions of the PC game, they only exist because the PS1 had a billion consoles sold and studios will keep releasing games on those even as the successors are out, even in a garbage state. Nice. Used to play these with one of my friends and my little bro. Didn't understand a lick of the language but the visuals in the "cutscenes" are so striking that we could interpret and invent what was happening.

In multi-world randomizers the logic is such that the required items are always reachable, but there may be periods where a certain game/player has nothing to do until another goes out of their way to collect a specific thing.
Of course, there are ways to screw with the settings that might lead to impossible seeds, but only mad people like ZFG's OOT randomizers go for that.
