The true way to go is Frozen pizza. EXTREMELY consistent, half the cost and half the calories. Huge variety always available. I love occasional fast food pizza, and there are great deals out there

If you remove everything and leave only pizza base italian would still taste like some of the finest bread you ever had. Remove everything from american pizza and you'll be left with a round piece of soggy cardboard. American pizza base has 0 taste and 0 texture.

The true way is to just make your own pizza. It's infinitely tastier and cheaper and takes basically no work.
The only thing you'd need to do is find a proper sauce, which can be homemade or bottled because honestly either is fine.
The only excuse is laziness or a lack of grill / oven.

We have an incredible spot nearby with the best pizza I ever had. If you're talking some unqiue, authentic artisan shit like this, AKA not a chain, You're talking $40 for two large pizzas that are creeping on 3k calories each. That shit is for special occasions unless you're a fat foreverpoor with no self control.

A frozen pizza can scratch the itch and be burnt of with cardio/conditioning in no time, while still have a decent chunk of protein.

I wish I could try your place because I'm a firm believer that local places can charge as much as they do because they know they have good recipes. And not just for pizza. There's a local beef butcher shop like 20 minutes out that charges $20~22 for a burger combo, but it's absolutely worth it.
