Hope they go deeper with it on later levels, like they showed soft materials sticking, vaulting, air roll diving etc even momentum carries from bunnyhopping
I can see a segment later on needing some building, a chunk jump into a dive that you can chain into either a bunny hop or roll jump to clear a long gap.
Will any of it be NEEDED? probably not, they make these games for toddlers to be able to beat, but optional challenge rooms or post game worlds could have that stuff like 3D marios do.
plus DK has always been tailored to harder games and older players, DKReturns for example is pretty hard by nintendo platformer standards. so they may throw more of a bone than mario does.
