That's FFXIV healing. All damage is predictable. Always. Sure your retarded DPS might stand in a glowy circle in a dungeon but it's never enough to kill them and by this point healers have enough insta-heal buttons to top them up. So they exist to pre-empt raid-wide damage (which is never dangerous) and spam their handful of DPS buttons. Even in Ultimate it's the same shit but with just bigger damage numbers to heal and more raid-wides. It's such a garbage MMO.

Depends on the MMO. EverQuest liked making monks useless. They tried to fag up Shadowknights into secondary tank roles in EQ2 when it first came out (no plate armor, no tower shields, etc), but the amount of rage they got made them reverse it and make them OP as usual.

Yep. Gave the game a fair shake, played it on and off for a couple of expansions and it's so pointless as an actual game. It's just a vehicle to get people with FF nostalgia, make them run dance choreography content for cosmetics and mounts, and for degens to ERP in. The gear doesn't mean jack shit and you get no choices as to builds or gear or stats. Hell your health bar may as well not even be numerical, it should just be a fuck up counter with like 3-5 fuck ups permitted, because that's pretty much all it means.
