>>714153739>I wanna get into it but I hear it's the hardest game of this typeNot really. Nothing in Nioh is as difficult as say Consort Radahn or Malenia in Elden Ring. You just have to get familiar with the game's own nuances.
For example you're supposed to mix block and dodges to manage your Ki well (block single big attacks, dodge roll long combos). Pic related and the infamous big snek boss teach you to block instead of dodge roll. Spells and Ninjutsu work with Elder Scrolls logic where they level up and get better only by you using them. So actually use them, throw firebombs, use talismans that give you extra Defensive layers or health regen and so on and so forth.
Finally the whole weapon stance thing is not as complicated as it looks. You use High Stance 90% of the game while exploring, Mid Stance when you want to Parry human opponents or easily catch yokai or ninja that dodge to your sides and Low Stance for applying debuff effects, playing it safe with Yokai bosses or killing big monsters who have high HP pools but never block your attacks.
Why the games are fun and why I come back to them every now and then is because thanks to the mission-based system its like a little taste of Souls-exploring and bossfighting whenever you're in the mood but don't feel like starting yet another long game run.
