got bored and never finished the death mountain area, or started the zora, gerudo, or southern jungle areas.

if I were to play only one game on Switch 2, is it BotW, a game ive seen already, or TotK, a game whose world ive seen already in BotW but still has content ive not seen.

No one ever said they were no dungeons, just that the dungeons were designed to all be accessible as your first.
the "dungeon items" were replaced with in-dungeon gimmicks to facilitate not needing item progression, but they work the same as ever. Instead of le lightning rod, now you have metal blocks and electricity puzzles in the dungeon itself
As for the dungeon item as a reward, that was changed to the abilities. No one can argue the high jump from the air beast wasnt a game changing ability for example.

Breath of the Wild is shit, and it reminded me of how many Ubislop games there were in the PS4 cycle. Nintendo is slowly starting to create artificial scarcity with their Online Account "Silver Coins" program which allows users to buy PNG images for profile icon customizations. You unlock them by playing random games and making Gacha-style achievements by playing Nintendo Online related shit. Now users are complaining it's harder to grind the coins, plus Nintendo faded out the "Gold Coins" system on the eShop.

If I'm right, Nintendo will soon reintroduce Gold Coins as a system-based Microtransaction service, and if I'm also right, the next Zelda will be Nintendo attempting a "Destiny". You get minimal viable shit for nothing at launch at 80 bucks, a "BotW-lite" with other players in it. And then over time the Gold Coins system will be exploited with Zelda and later Animal Crossing, so users will be addicted to buying Nintendo continual revenue, while getting less in return as gamers.

It has a weaker "game-feel" than the Combat in Wind Waker. I feel both Skyward Sword and BotW's combat have an intentionally "wobbly" feeling to them. Where it's made intentionally exaggerated and comical in a sort of "made for toddlers" vibe.

And that's a shame. BotW is the first 3D Zelda game that isn't a total cakewalk. If you meet an untimely Lynel or Guardian you have reasons to avoid them if you have to ride past them.
