The gist of the lore is the alliance basically snubbed them in their darkest hour and the forsaken didn't.

The blood elves and the forsaken have a particularly tight bond because sylvanas was their leader (Former Ranger general) and they were former residents of Lordaeron whom they were allied with and interacted with regularly.

The Elves should not be fine working with Undead because the very same undead killed them all. The Elves should not be fine working with Trolls because they have always been fighting Trolls. The Elves should not be fine working with Orcs because they have fought big wars against Orcs. If the Elves so prideful they hate Humans because of a single Human. Then they should hate all the other races even more because of their constant war with them.

So be consistent. The Elves should either join no one and get wiped off for good because of their stubbornness and pride. Or they should join the Humans because the actions of one Human cannot outweigh the actions of the other three entire races. Elves cannot be so stubborn to hate all Humans because of one that they won't join them, yet not so stubborn to be suddenly okay with Orcs, Trolls, and Undead that have done far worse to them in comparison.
