When I first tried it I thought it'd be really cool to make a big camp between friends and live off the land, do missions etc.
Pretty damn disappointing how you really couldn't have a big shared camp/gang like the story mode, each person had their own and you kinda just picked one to meet at.

I'm kind of stunned they would bother to do this considering it seemed like game had been abandoned and how it's presumably all hands on deck for development of GTA VI/Online 2 content.

You could, you just needed to form a posse, then pick the "large" option when setting up the camp, tents would be added for each member present. It had at least a little depth, then they fucked all that up with the moonshiners update, preset shack locations, adding instruments that you could play only inside of the basement of some shitshack instead of at THE FUCKING CAMP.

I will forever be mad at the shit management of RDO.

Felt like I was contributing to someone else's shit rather than actually being part of a group. I never played GTA online but from what I've heard there was a lot of group business shit you could do.

I would never normally advocate cheat engine, but download a trainer for GTA online and give yourself as much free gold as you want and play it that way
there is some fun to be had with it especially with friends but the paywalling is gay

You can see from the trailer that it's almost all reused content from single player, the only thing that didn't instantly strike me as something I've seen before were the villagers reskinned as "zombies", they didn't even bother giving them any new animations, they just run at you with melee weapons.
Looks like one of those low effort zombie mods that came out for GTA V right after release.

Its not as grindy if you have a friend who grinded it already and shares his missions with you. I got lucky thanks to having said friend and what takes most people 100 hours took me like 1/3 of that.
That said, I wouldn't reccomend cheating now considering they are back making updates, last thing you want is getting banned as there was a time they did check if you cheat gold in (didn't check if you cheat in other ways of course...).
Personally, last time I played it was full of cheaters (I'm on PC).
