I think this is more that those age group tend to play the same 2 or 3 online games over and over again constantly online with their friends compared to boomers like me who never play online games and just buy flavour of the month single player games like Assassin's Creed Shadows and KCD2 and Expedition 33 and just finish the story and move on and go several weeks without playing any games until the next big single player game comes out. I didnt play anything in June and likely nothing this month either. But I'll buy Mafia The Old Country and Dying Light The Beast in August and Hell is Us, Borderlands 4 and Silent Hill F in September and Vampire Bloodline 2 and ghost of Yotei in October and then probably Metroid Prime 4 and Crimson Desert in November. I wont play any of these games for an extended period and will just blast through the main story in each of them the week they come out and in between their releases I will play nothing.

4k gpu isnt a kind of gpu. All modern gpus can achieve 4k resolution and higher.

Anyway, pc has always had a higher barrier of entry, not from just a price standpoint, but from a total effort perspective as well. Consoles are great for someone who likes something simple, easy to set up, ready to game. One reason they are priced lower is because the reach a broader audience, with that you need a lower effort barrier of entry, more plug and play
