Is Outward pro-cannibalism propaganda?

More like
>European cryptids
>"Oh my Wodan a fairy! You are so beautiful! Thank you for the piles of treasure you gave me!"
>"For thanking me, I will have your skin flayed, your flesh cut to ribbons and your newborn child abducted."

Hope Outward 2 manages to deliver. The game needs better animations, story/world, and a faster way to get around, even if that just mean paid transportation.

I really like the concept of Outward, but the game did not grab me. I couldn't get over the combat.

My main gripe is that the enemies are faster than me.
Normally, in action RPGs enemies are stronger than you but you are faster and you will need to make use of your speed and agility to overcome them.
But here, enemies are stronger AND have faster attacks than you.

But you can get used to it because enemies tend to be dumb and for example, a T-Rex will use his claw attack even if you are out of its reach so you can just move out of its reach and punish the attack. Hyenas and lizards do not like it if yu circle around them. Otherwise, enemies like the Wendigo will have a few slow attacks, mainly magic attacks, which you can punish.
I still have to learn the sword dogs quirks though. His tripple sowrd attack covers so much area and he uses it randomly.
Humans are nasty because of their melee weapons but I figured out that sometimes, you can hit them while they charge into you and some attacks can be sidestepped.

Also heavy armor seems to be a noob trap because, while it does not make you slow like in Dark Souls, it will eat away your stamina really fast and once you are fatigued, it's over in this game. This is sad because I like heavy armor and want to play a knight and the light armor does not look very nice on male characters.

I think the game wants you to make heavy use of your active abilities which I do not really like.
Because of that, I am planning a build with Discipline, Berserk, Infuse Wind and Shamanic Resonance for a very powerful melee berserker and then some active skills on the side to assist.

It's better than slowly dying of uncontrollable laughter and shakes because you cooked and ate some nondescript fat you found in some aggro schlub's inventory.

Cool to see an Outward thread, this game was one of my favorite couch coop experiences ever. Especially playing the last DLC where there was 0 info for it online felt like my bro and I were the only ones to have ever gotten that far and the sense of discovery was great. >>714187773
The combat is pretty jank and shit, I didn't mess around with any of the magic but melee combat is slow with enemies being pretty tanky if you don't abuse their AI and status effects like weakness to deal with the insane amounts of stamina enemies have. Most fights ended up just being me and my brother circling around passing aggro and getting a few hits here and there. I like the idea of a slower methodical action based combat where you have to manage stamina and only take one hit but the over reliance on kick skills to beat down stamina is shit and I hope they fix it in the sequel. Heavy attacks should've taken off way more stamina from enemies than they do. Also the final boss is fucking impossible had to cheat not gonna lie.

I feel like getting the discipline skill was a game changer. It says that it's +15% damage, but I swear it was more. Also the scaled leather set is really good, but I do not like its trashy look look.

Berserk, on the other side, did seemingly nothing to boost my power. Feels more like a placebo. At least it won'tr be a complete waste once I get the double attack skill at the end f forest hunter.

Does /v/ hate this game?
It's super immersive and has difficult, skill based action combat. It's certainly flawed but still one of the better ARPGs I have ever played and I wish I would have discovered it earlier.
I loved the tent camp mechanic and Luxury Tent = Best Tentfu!

I've been waiting for this game for years, its by the creators of the Sentient playable teaser, they're pretty much gone largely quiet for the past half decade, but I asked like a year ago and they said that they were still working on it https://youtu.be/fj-UAxlRqR8
