No i know exactly what they are. A privately owned distributor which is perfect. No investors telling me what I can and can't buy or do in my games. Some porn games are removed here and there but I think overall it's the best platform by a wide margin.

There is no other gaming CEO that would pocket as much money from a company and live in such a luxury as Gaben does, and it's ridiculous how many people uniornically see him as some humble game dev, especially when he literally never even actually worked on any of Valve's games. He is an ex-microsoft businessman who found a market gap in the pc game scene and it's distribution a bit sooner than others did, and now taxes 1/3 of pc gaming industry's revenue indifinitely, while you own nothing and you will be happy

All consoles tax the same or more. Just because ebin games is desperately trying to steal steams revenue doesn't make them any better. Hosting your game in steam is already a pipeline to sales that's better than the majority of platforms. If you want a flat amount of money then take an epic exclusive and then actually get sales 2years later on a real platform. Saying "You don't own the game" is such a retarded argument. No media is forever your disks and cartridges will wither only a little longer after an HDD would. Even kept in perfect condition disk rot among other things will claim your physical media you don't own it either. You're renting it until nature comes to reclaim.
