Okay, but too basic. Only reasons to play it are 200cc, the track selection and the great music.

It’s fun…I bought it earlier this year amid the Mario kart world announcement hype cuz I was curious, hadn’t played MK since like 2010 on the ds. But idk how ppl can play MK more than a dozen hours or so, it’s fun to go through all the tracks once but the replayability is pretty low imo

Mario kart perfection. Easy for casuals and kids to get into and challenging for people who want to race to win

It's pretty good
Too many red shells, Tour city tracks are all in bottom half of the game, and it could have used more tech (they removed firehopping from Wii U)
At least its very complete, probably the best bang for your buck if you cant into modding Wii.

9/10 game
The crossover characters and maps are dumb and should've been replaced with more Mario or DKC content. We already have Smash for Nintendo crossovers.
Tour maps are a let down. They aren't designed around 8's mechanics and visually they clash hard with the base game.
Battle mode is hit and miss. Renegade roundup gets boring if you're on the robber team waiting to be freed and I prefer last man standing balloon battle instead of respawning with half of my points.

the booster pass was mediocre but serviceable, wish they put more effort into the tracks' textures and visuals. also fuck mario kart tour tracks and fuck the nu tracks, they foreshadowed the track design philosophy they would use in world

It's worth mentioning in the same was Super Mario Bros on NES and Legend of Zelda on NES are worth mentioning. They started the franchise and were good games.

Both of those are great games that were revolutionary in their respective genres. SMK I'll give you that it was revolutionary, but I just don't think it's a fun game.

I still play it, honestly almost no one has Mario Kart World and playing the game with randoms is boring as fuck, so I just go back to MK8 to play with friends.
