I sincerely hope for your sake you're not still stuck on old deprecated hardware like am4. You're basically no different from console peasants at that point.

Nope, not switching from my 5800X3D

I think devs stopped truly optimizing their games for last-gen tech in the 9th generation of gaming. It used to be, devs would launch a next-gen title that looked and played amazingly, because of the precision and diligence valued in getting old hardware to look similar. But now, with newer machines, devs don't even look back anymore. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is an excellent example of this, it runs well on anything, from PS4 all the way down to PS5 Pro, with very little mitigation between performance and graphics quality.
>>714238984Yeah. I actually bought a 5700X3D, but the delivery company fucked up my delivery and returned to the seller, so I just stayed with my current build. I think I'll just get a 5700X during the next BF and call it a day. The thermals of the X3D scare me a little bit.
Ryzen 3600 still does the job. Fuck off Jew

I upgraded to 5800x3d because it was the best drop in replacement i could get for my AM4 board. Anything more wouldn't be worth it, and I'd need to get a new MOBO and RAM too for AM5. And even then, the only reason I bothered was because I bought a new GPU at the time and my CPU ended up being the limiting factor when going for higher framerates
