Original Blue if only because the original soundtrack and friend zones are soul incarnate.

Blue, the DX updated mechanics don't really matter much and if anything make the game easier + they cut friend areas
All you're really missing by not playing DX is a couple of crossgen evos and shiny autism

DX has some weird changes, like removing the basic attack, but technically does have more content.

I'd just emulate the original but the remake is fine if you want more.

Nta but I'm curious two on what exactly makes it easier besides the Dojo in the remake being a bit better for level grinding. Friend areas are just HUBs for your recruited pokemon and you can see them right here >>714238586 in DX you only get a jpeg of the place instead of actually being able to walk and talk with your recruited pokemon.

Blue is better that Red overall but DX is also a good way of playing the game.

Blue or DX depending on your preferance. If you have real hardware I’d go DS, I’d emulate DX.
