it's a shit tier mechanic that over-emphasizes mounting (an already contentious mechanic) and ignoring it makes fights last too long. Devs realized the mechanic sucked dick and added a skill towards the end of IB that perma tenderized monsters

I do exactly that and the fights are still short
the only fight that absolutely requires tenderizing is Alatreon and you already need to come well prepared and with a flowchart in mind for that anyway
