It's fun enough. Kind of an interesting take on roguelikes and metroidvanias. Feels a bit too short but movement and combat feel really good towards the end with all your powers and upgraded weapons

The gameplay is fantastic, movement and dodging feels fast and responsive, the guns are all interesting and i mean all of them, the mods for the weapons can literally change how a weapon plays.
But the best part of the game is getting better at it.
There are no stats or permanent upgrades. You only upgrades are the metroidvania tools and getting more slots for more random trinkets from the rogue-lite aspect of the game. So when you get further in a run is because you are getting better, which is a great feeling.
My main gripe with the game was with Selene's storytelling. Presenting it so obscured and with an unreliable narrator did more harm than good imo, game would have benefitted from owning up the MC backstory up front.
Its a great game anon, enjoy it.
Haven't heard any news about Saros, can't wait to fight in the thread wars about "saars plz do not redeem the videogame" but it is what it is. If they deliver another Returnal, im buying it.

I have, I had the courage to pass through the ugly dyke filter by using a outfit that covers her nasty face, then I was playing, I was intrigued by the world and what the fuck was going on.
Then i watched videos about the story and lore.

In my opinion that was the hardest biome.
Once i cleared it i one shot the next biome and finished my first cycle.

it also means that you dont have to play that biome more than once if you dont want to, since once you have the swimming gear you can go from biome 4 to 6 directly (albeit being lower level obviously)
But yeah, i found that biome the hardest, the three "minibosses" for the keys and even the regular enemies felt hard as fuck

It's a game that starts good and only goes downhill both in terms of gameplay and narrative. Your first run is the hardest the game will ever be, even after you beat the game, due to them not having any kind of difficulty modifiers. By the time you beat the game once, what began as a difficult struggle has turned into an eye-watering breeze.

Gonna go ahead and spoil the story, because it's "all in le head!!" copout garbage like Callisto Protocol. The vibes of the world, enemy design, and fights are all solid, but they really dropped the ball by at minimum not adding difficulty modifier to keep the post-game interesting. Again, wasted potential.
