There's a well-known story behind why she's playable in Wonder. One of the execs in charge of the game had two daughters who would fight over who got to play as Peach in NSMB, so Daisy was added. Makes sense that it'd set the precedent that Daisy's one of the "important" Mario characters now.

If sheβs in the sequel movie, then that would solidify her as one of main characters and she will 100% appear in more mainline titles. If she doesnβt appear in the sequel, things are probably going to stay the same as they are currently (spinoff hell)
