100 hours report. Would crack unto a strayan. I can't believe it takes half the game for the story to get into its strides.
I was shocked by the game starting without any fanfare, straight to the gameplay, straight to work. It seems the dev team took to heart all the complaints about long winded Kojima cutscenes and pushed that stuff out of the way, making the story take the form of short skits. As i never had any issues with DS1's cinematic scenes this made the begining of DS2 look half hearted to me or missing its essence.
Whenever Fragile would tell me to come meet her on the DHV Magellan it felt like i was being called into the deen's office to receive some inconsequential lecture and then be let loose again.
Now with the reintroduction of Sleep-Deprivedman or since Elle Fanning joined the crew i'm seeing the cutscenes switch gear into Kojima cutscenes. Marty G. Miller is a better actor than the others, Dollman is a great sidekick i love him way better than the bald gremlin.
The DHV Magellan is as iconic and that's fact though i have complaints about a few details of its fast travel sequence.
Combat is plain fun and more interesting. The rest of the gameplay suffers from the exact same fatal flaw present in DS1: everything is well balanced but it's all tuned to a low level of engagement or skill. It's so easy. Entire game mechanics are non-factors even though the game pretends like they exist. Maybe it's because stuff like battery power, stamina, materials are tuned for single player but with a layer of online on top then it becomes basically cheating. Might go offline for the second half, other players are still obviously retarded. Auto aid requests is literal spam.
I saw this game described as "an $80 DLC" and i disagree. It really is Death Stranding 2™, exactly like DS1 but a lot more of it. Game's pretty fucking huge.

PS: I don't find these preppers believable , not a single one of them has called me a right cunt.
