I made the mistake of trying 2.0 a couple months ago. Apparently the Perfect Works project is what I really wanted to speed up text speed and all that shit since there wasn't even an option menu shipped with this meme.

What was the issue? 2.0 is literally just an undub/sub, remapping X to O and changing imperial units to metric system. Other than that, it's the same game.

Xenogears lives rent-free in my head 24/7. That god-tier soundtrack, the biblical symbolism cranked to 11, the second disc turning into a visual novel because the devs ran out of time and budget-it’s such a beautiful mess. Only PS1 game that made me feel like I needed a philosophy degree to understand wtf was going on.
