Trials was a blessing and one of the best modern remakes a fan of a cult classic could ask for

Yes, actually. Knowing where the lee and stoss sides of a mountain range are can create natural biomes. For example, Vancouver in Canada is technically rainforest, while the other side of the mountains in Calgary and such are super dry because of the lack of precipitation

It does but "a wizard did it" or "because science fiction" does work as an excuse. Biggest singular point to keep in mind though >Rivers go from mountains to sea.

solid choice and it was always so sad/cool to know you cant go back to the area from the first game. you could literally never go home again.
The map was always one of the best things about the Prime games.
Felt so futuristic.
Are there even any newer games that have a 3D wireframe map like this?

Looks like an exterior map of Sinnoh. White is walkable, blue is surfable, green is grass(?) and no actual sprites are shown. Also doesn't include interiors, and Mt. Coronet is a big linking feature of the region, so you probably notice the void in the center-left.
Anyone else have an autistic map obsession?
Almost every time I hear the name of a place when I watch a TV show or movie I have to go on google maps and find it

I can't remember, was Prime 1 on GC detailed like this?
I played Prime Remastered recently and maybe I'm retarded but I struggled with the map since it was all a giant 360 degree pile of orange geometry with none of the door colors would showing unless you highlighted the area. I could rarely remember what a room looked like just by the map alone.

I don't like how he started to just throw in shit from other timelines. It's become less "What would Hyrule from Wind Waker look like if it had no water?" to "How much Zelda related shit can I throw in here?"

Some megamod installs have those locations, but if I remember right a lot of them were tied to the godawful Sandrah saga which also predates the SoD expansion locations that are there in that image.

Yes. Maps are nice. Especially for fictional worlds. It's a neat way to show that people have lived in the world for long enough that they've explored it and documented it, like people do.
I also love it when maps are decorated with little illustrations.
I tried to upload a screenshot of my DND world map I've been working on for the past five years but apparently exporting it as a png from Wonderdraft its file size is 200mb lol
