Both iterations of Peter Parker in Spiderverse are strictly superior as Spider Man to Miles Morales on all levels. This is demonstrated pretty openly in both movies as Peter A embodies his heroic ideals in sacrifice, and Peter B, as flawed as he is, effortlessly outmaneuvers Miles at every turn. Even during their very limited interaction in Spiderverse II, Peter B operates on a higher level.
That's also part of the message of the movies. The only "that's my boy" moment is at the end of Spiderverse II when he realizes he needs to stand on his own two feet whatever that means, but that's just Miles' potential to be the Spider Man that his universe needed. He's still not there yet.
The reason Peter isn't really in the fight is because he already won, and has long completed the journey that Miles is only beginning. He is also the only iteration of Peter that they fucking finally allow to be happy -- any fan should be all for that. And if you're going to make an allegory to race relations, it's pretty spot on and leans hard into white-savior if anything.
