PS2 had quantity but GC had quality. The exclusives like Sunshine look better than anything on PS2, and most Xbox games even. Sunshine was one of those games that looked so good the modern HD remasters don’t do it justice, you kind of need the old setups, a good preamp and surround sound and shit

The PS3 was so bad that it retroactively tanked the PS2's cultural relevance. I'm being serious here.
The PS3 released in 2006, however it did not receive its first videogame until 2009 (Demon Souls). During this three year period, the console wars escalated rapidly. Sensing weakness, the Nintendo and Xbox fanbases relentlessly mocked the PS3. The PS3 has nogaems. And there was no defense, for the PS3 indeed had zero videogames during this three year period.
Anyone who spent 599 US dollars on the PS3 felt like a retard, and that includes myself. We all regretted our purchase, and many people lost their fanboyism altogether. That is to say; the number of Playstation fanboys decreased overall as a result of the PS3's nogaems. Less fanboys, less cultural relevance.

Yeah, the PS2 was the cheapest DVD player on the market in 2001, and the Gamecube got marked down to $99 a few years later with most of the best games selling for $20. Even my dirt poor family had both.

Absolutely and beyond delusional, and the fact that you bring up the graphics of a fucking Mario game just further proves that. The PS2 has some of the most important and influential games in it's library. It beats the Gamecube in terms of both quantity and quality no competition.
