Exclusives were already considered a sucker's game when compared to multiplats and the market as a whole was on a massive decline. both in terms of budget and in terms of talent (for management and developers). Fuckin sheep man. Requiring online means developers can release unfinished or otherwise broken/borderline unplayable games and sell them for full price. And then if gamers bitch enough, MAYBE there will be patches to fix the problems. Early years a game was done when it sold. Maybe it had gamebreaking bugs here and there, but the majority of the games were completed and you were able to pop them into your console and start playing the game within seconds. I can't do shit without installing the game, downloading day one patch, downloading the console update, etc.
